10/19 Assignment

My perception of the internship has changed greatly since I started. At first I thought that it would take a while to get used to, but it was actually really easy. My mentors are very nice and they welcomed me in on the first day; showing me the ropes, and introducing me to various patients. As time went on it became easier to make conversation with the patients, which turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the job. What really surprised me was that the mentorship became something that I looked forward to during the week, and not just some boring internship that I was required to do. The thing that I learned when business gets slow is to always look for something to do. Time moves by a lot faster when it's occupied doing something productive, which makes my mentorship much more enjoyable.
